Since 2001, the Joy to Life Foundation has focused on the importance of early detection and a mammogram is the first service of choice to diagnose a potential cancer.
- 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer with more potential cancers being identified in younger women in their teens, 20’s and 30’s.
- In the last 10+ years, there has been an increase in the number of men being diagnosed with breast cancer.
- Joy to Life receives 20-30 calls a day from women and men throughout Alabama in desperate need of breast health services.
